Final Reflection

During this module, I learned about the different types of design principles and elements and how to apply them in the work as every work can be enhanced with a few principles and elements of design. I enjoyed the creativity aspect of this module the most, although certain themes in assignments such as Sense of Place or Visual Analysis may restrict students, there are still many creative ways to come up with the solution matching the themes, it was interesting to see how I develop my ideas and how other classmates perceive their ideas as well as we all think differently, leading to a variety of unique and interesting design works. What I dislike in this module was that it was an online module throughout the semester. It is harder to communicate or ask for feedback with more clarity as the human face to face interaction is lost. What I learned from this module is that an idea can always be translated into design, it's up to me to figure out how to translate it in the way I can while maintaining the message. I learned how to be more expressive of myself through the Self Portrait assignment, I realized I was more observative after completing Sense Of Place and to look at the bigger picture after finishing Visual Analysis. To improve this module, I would request for it to be offline at campus, as well as providing around 1 or 2 more examples for assignments like Visual Analysis as it was confusing to understand it at first. Other than that, I believe going through this module has helped me learn more about myself and my skills in design.
